Razor Electric Bike - The MX350 To The MX650
Getting on a Razor dirt bike is always enjoyable and exciting for a teenager because it does give the feeling of being on a big bike. A good deal smaller in size than a real bike, a Razor bike is fairly safe for youngsters to ride because it has speed limits built into it.. A Razor bike runs on rechargeable battery and once fully charged, you can ride it for up to 45 minutes at a stretch.
Since different people are of different sizes and riding skills, there are various models to cater to these diverse needs. All the models are designed for teenagers with the slowest machine having a recommended minimum age of twelve for the rider. This machine is the Razor MX350 which can take a highest rider weight of 140lbs and possesses a speed limit of 14 miles per hour, running on a 350 watt electrical motor. With its smaller size and lower speed limit, it is right for younger kids who are just beginning to get involved in dirt bike riding.
At the other end of the scale is the Razor MX650 dirt bike. This Razor bike is much more impressive than the MX350 with a 650-watt motor. The speed ceiling for this bike is 17 miles per hour and it can take riders of up to 220lbs in weight. With a larger build, it is held up by 16 and 14-inch pneumatic tires for the front and back respectively compared to 12-inch tires for the lowest end model. More for experienced riders, it is a suitable bike for those who are 16 and older.
Other than the above machines, there are also two other intermediate bikes in between. They are the MX400 and MX500. As you move up the scale, the bikes will also become cost more because of the enlarged power of each over the last. However, with the features being almost the same between the MX350 and MX400, the latter is not as popular with buyers. The small difference in the motor is probably not worth it for them to shell out the extra cost to obtain the MX400 model.
Last but not least, if you are looking for a Razor electric bike for your teenager, you will need to determine his maturity and riding competency before making a purchase. If your teenager does not know how to ride yet, the more you should do your research because there are always greater risks of crashes with new riders. Even if you have the money to buy the most expensive model, it may not be the most appropriate for your teenager after all.
