Tips Before Drag Racing a 125cc Pit Bike
Before you enter your 125cc pit bike in drag races you first need to consider a few things. Upgrading your bike and qualifying in races in order to join drag races. As a novice starting out in the races you have to first gain street credibility. Join mini drag races and slowly move your way up to more professional and high stakes races. Whether you are joining a legal or an illegal drag race, earning street credibility is the most important thing that you must acquire in order for you to move up in the drag racing community.
First thing you must do is to upgrade your 125cc pit bike. Anticipate where your next race will be so you can modify your bike to suit that terrain. Train hard and practice, time yourself on how many seconds or minutes does it take you to get to the finish line. This is crucial so you may know how your bike performs in top speeds and in different kinds of track. If your next race will be in a flat track then change your tires to flat track tires. However if the next terrain is a bit rough and challenging then go with the heavy spiked tires, changing your tires will greatly help you with your traction. Then it's on to upgrading your engine. Upgrade your engine to increase your speed as well as your power. Increasing your power will greatly help your starting boost when racing head to head.
Then it's on to increasing you speed. Once you've upgraded your starting power it's time to upgrade your speed. You will need this to boost you even more after your initial thrust from the starting line. You have to know the proper engine mix in order for you to gain the speed that you desire. Also 1 advantage in drag racing is to lighten the load of your bike. instead of having a full sized tank for gas us a small plastic gallon with enough fuel to race and get back to your pits. Professionals improvise their dirt bike to hold a small gas container that only holds a gallon of fuel, just enough for one race. Remove anything that is unessential for drag racing, anything that could possibly make the bike heavy and anything that doesn't quite have any use if racing head to head.
As a Dirt bike racer who is slowly moving up in the drag racing community, you get to have a lot of invites for other races if you frequent on winning. You must win several races in order for you to be invited and to race in much higher stakes races. In these high stakes races big spenders bet on you or your opponent to go racing head 2 head. you must always remember that you have to win so as not to disappoint those people who chose you to be their winning bet for the race. Just do your best and win.
